For this year The One Minutes has launched a new series: Split Screen Art Cinema

They are a snap of mood, a bolt of atmosphere a short sharp whiff of a director's obsessions.
They are condensed cinematic moments, tightly wound brief re-transmissions from film history. By slicing into the temporal flow of a motion picture and assembling four frames within one, the videos offer an insight into the film-maker's decisions; editing, tempo, motion, colour, mise en scene and cinematography are laid bare to see – learning by deconstructing. Multiplying the frames of one film within a one minute format is both a distancing and and a seductive technique, simultaneously offering us an non-linear overview and a microscopic analysis of the film.
