the next issue of the one minutes series, our monthly selection of 60-second
video art.
In 24 minutes around the world
The earth is divided into 24 time zones. When the sun reaches its highest point in Stavanger at noon, we cross to the other 23 time zones and see what’s happening in cities there.
Each video gives a personal view of the city where the artist is. Together, the videos create a panorama of the earth showing urban life in all its forms.
An hour lasts a minute, and in just 24 minutes the viewer travels the globe.

'Death matters’ in the Tropenmuseum, Amsterdam. Every day approximately 155,000 people die worldwide. Death is an inevitable part of life. What role does it have in our lives? How do people want to say goodbye, how do they wish to mourn and remember? Do we need new rituals?
The One Minutes together with the Tropenmuseum invites you to visit the exhibition from 3 November untill the end of July 2012, to see the 16 selected one minutes.
The Tropenmuseum Amsterdam selected work of the following makers: Wouter Venema, Miranda Crawford, Samantha Thole, Alice Schut & Lianne Schwarte, Arya Sukapura Putra, Barry van der Rijt, Julia Diaguileva, Silvie Konings, Ophélie Malassigné, Lotte Middendorp, Selwyn de Bruijn, Dennis Neumann, Goddy Leye, Adel Idris, Dalle Dejano & Vava Stojadinovic.
